  2. Is it any wonder the American economy is in the toilet?

  3. That is exactly what is wrong with America. My job has something like 10 managers each shift now and they're making new management positions every day, yet they can't seem to hire new employees.

  4. Japan's economy is in the crapper because we're in a world economy and if a big enough fraction of people dick up the system everyone goes into recession.

Ok, they've done some... suboptimal stuff too but America doing the old broken incentive model instead of actually using the same kind of math Japan has been beating us with for years (when we finally started they had something like 20 years practice so they can still beat us if we don't pick up the pace,) is enough to hurt everyone.

That's what happens when the research leader of the world ignores it's research :<

  5. There is no racing shell (boat) on earth that holds 7 rowers. The largest rowing shells will hold 8 rowers and one cox'n (which you called the "coach") who steers the shell and encourages the rowers. Rarely in an 8-rower boat does each rower have two oars (depicted as kayak paddles in your comic, no less), rather, each rower will have one large oar (meaning 4 oars on each side of the shell). In addition, rowers face the stern (back) of the boat, with their oar in front of them.

Which, if this were made by an American, makes this horribly unresearched allegory doubly truthful.

    Also, boo clipart.

  6. ........ o____o;;;;;;; Um... I... Don't think this was intended to be made as a realistic allegory... ^^;;;; I mean, I take your point, I'd be a bit perfectionist about that too if I saw it, but really, I don't think that the details of rowing boats improves or disproves the allegory... ^^;;; I can still see the point they're trying to make. I'm not sure if I'd apply this to America, necessarily, but it's still a valid point to keep in mind for anybody who runs a business if nothing else.

  7. @E

Obviously an american, pointing out the problems with the visual aids rather than the real problem. E must be upper management.

  8. No. I propose that @E is just a douche.
